@Elmkast @machado Portuguese cuisine deserves to be more widely known.

@BruceJia No, I would love to honestly but not sure what use it would be

@Elmkast Angola, Mozambique, East Timor speak Portuguese

@BruceJia Chances are slim that I end up in any of those places, or even Brasil, over the next 5-10 years 😅

@Elmkast @BruceJia Very much not an economically relevant language. Also not an economical language, very annoying to type.

I do like having proper verb conjugations, though.

@machado @BruceJia Wouldn't you have a PR keyboard that makes it a lot easier?

@Elmkast @BruceJia The problem isn't individual characters, it's the overly long words and clunky grammar.

@BruceJia @Elmkast Just the general need to use way more words than in english. Not helped by written portuguese being increasingly divorced from spoken portuguese.

@Elmkast I don't think I saw this one. I do remember seeing an episode where Bourdain went to Lisbon. At some point he's drinking with an old guy and discussing the evolution of heroin prices in the 80s and 90s
