WHEREAS the production of value reaches limits of supply (ecology) and limits of demand (hunger, thirst, shelter having been satisfied), and the solving of these problems moving from complex to merely complicated, the new sorting mechanism is assigning the privilege of reality to the virtual.
Scarcity is no longer of things, but of THING-NESS. There are vastly more potential objects than there are real ones, and we can watch the potentials scramble to be born, to win the prize of actuality.
