"I Cut the 'Big Five' Tech Giants From My Life. It Was Hell"

apparently "Hell" is:

- paying cash to the babysitter
- inconvenient file transfers
- almost missed some text messages
- certain websites won't load
- less convenient video conferencing
- have to read books to your child

not to say that what those companies are doing isn't bad, but this experiment shows that cutting them out is still quite possible.

Everything being hosted on AWS might be the most worrying.

@nindokag What e-mail service would you recommend to replace Google/Microsoft?

@machado I use and like it. It costs a nominal fee per year but no ads and no spying.

@nindokag I think AWS shouldn't have been part of this experiment.
