"Sheep get to work maintaining Newfield solar array"

"'s cheaper for the company to use sheep for maintenance instead of paying for people to mow and maintain 30 acres during the warmer months.... Unlike goats who will munch on almost anything, sheep stick to grazing on the greenery and not harm any wires or solar equipment."

@Kitts i think this is near you!

(Is this ?)

@nindokag yup, that's right near Ithaca. Solarpunk sheep!

Astronomers looked into this when building the LOFAR telescope. The fields it's in need to be mowed to keep trees from growing, so they looked at having sheep keep the grass cropped. Unfortunately sheep like to scratch themselves on the antennas, which tends to knock the antennas over.
